The product-verification feature is an informational lookup. It reports available records but cannot by itself establish every fact about a physical product or transaction.
Draft website policy for implementation. Replace all demonstration contact details, warranty periods, operational promises and company identifiers with verified STH information, then obtain review from a Bangladesh-qualified legal professional before publication.
Separate status indicators
Serial validity, recorded seller status and warranty status are displayed separately. One positive indicator does not make every other indicator positive.
Users should compare the lookup with the physical label, model, product appearance, seller identity, invoice and warranty documents.
Serial validity
A valid result means the serial exists in the current STH verification dataset. It does not prove that the serial has not been copied onto another product.
A missing result may be caused by typing, delayed registration, unsupported legacy records or a product not supplied through STH.
Seller status
Seller authorization may depend on product, territory, channel and date. A seller currently listed in one category may not be authorized for every product.
Contact STH before payment when seller identity or authorization is unclear.
Warranty status
Displayed warranty dates or status are based on recorded information and remain subject to proof, applicable terms, product condition and claim cause.
Verification does not approve a claim or extend warranty.
Suspicious or duplicated labels
Do not complete a purchase if the model, label, seller or documents conflict. Send STH clear photographs and seller details for review.
STH may suspend a serial result while investigating suspected duplication, fraud, theft or incorrect records.
Acceptable use
The lookup may be used for legitimate purchase, support, registration and ownership checks.
Automated harvesting, serial enumeration, copying data for counterfeit labels, bypassing rate limits or using results to mislead customers is prohibited.
Corrections
A customer or dealer may request correction of an inaccurate record with suitable proof. STH may preserve an audit record of changes.
No substitute for inspection
Physical product condition, modification, damage, ownership, installation and safety cannot always be determined from a serial lookup and may require inspection.
