BATTERY PRE-CHARGE CHECKLIST

This is a general preparation checklist. The product-specific label, manual and written instructions for the exact battery and charger take priority.

1. Confirm the exact battery model and serial number.
2. Confirm the charger is approved for that exact battery, chemistry and configuration.
3. Check charger output voltage, current, connector, polarity and any communication requirement.
4. Inspect the battery enclosure, terminals, cable, connector and mounting for damage, looseness, water, swelling, unusual heat or smell.
5. Inspect the charger, input cable, output cable, connector and ventilation openings.
6. Use a suitable, grounded electrical outlet and avoid damaged adapters or overloaded extensions.
7. Charge in a dry, clean, ventilated area away from combustible material and direct heat.
8. Keep the charger uncovered and maintain clear airflow.
9. Follow the approved connection order without forcing or adapting the connector.
10. Observe model-specific indicators and stop for unusual heat, smell, smoke, sound, sparking or repeated shutdown.
11. Do not charge a flooded, impacted, swollen, smoking, burned or otherwise suspected-damaged lithium battery.
12. Keep the battery, charger, invoice, warranty and service records available for support.
